The TAMIL ELOCUTION ASSOCIATION was headed by 1 counselors Mrs. P. KANAGAMANI .,B.A., B.Ed


“தமிழ் இனி மெல்லச் சாகும்”, என்ற நிலை மாறி, “தமிழ் இனி வெல்லப் போகும்”, என்ற நிலையை உருவாக்குவதற்கான ஒரு சிறு முயற்சி தான், இந்த “தமிழ் மன்றம்”. தமிழனாய்ப் பிறந்த ஒவ்வொருவரும் தன் தாய்மொழியின் வேரறிய, நம் முன்னோர் வாழ்ந்த அடையாளங்களைத் தேடிச் செல்லும் ஓர் அற்புதப் பயணம். தமிழின் பாரம்பரியமும் தமிழரின் கலாச்சாரமும் மேலும் அறிவு சார்ந்த எண்ணங்களை மாணவர்களிடையே புதுப்பிக்கவும் ஊக்குவிக்கவும் தமிழ் மன்றம் வாய்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்தித் தருகிறது.

ENGLISH ELOCUTION ASSOCIATION




The ENGLISH ELOCUTION ASSOCIATION was headed by 1 counselors Mrs. P. SARITHA ,B.A., B. Ed.


“To journey into the realm of literary art that shapes the inner self, nurtures the creative thirst and sculpts the raw potential of Young Ignited Minds”


Objective(s):

• To cultivate a love and appreciation for the English Language
• To provide a language-rich environment for language acquisition
• To equip students with the necessary skills for storytelling and drama performance

Activities:


• Training in presentation and drama skills
• Preparation for storytelling and drama performances


MATHS CLUB




The MATHS CLUB was headed by 1 counselors Mrs. A.USHA ,B.Sc., B. Ed.


Objective :


1. To help students to have positive attitude towards mathematics.
2. To stimulate children’s mathematical curiosity.
3. To promote a holistic development of students through the games and puzzles.
4. To further study of mathematics beyond the classroom instruction and to regard mathematics as an integral part of their life.
5. To assist, stimulate and develop students interest in mathematics.
6. To stimulate thinking.


Activities :


1. Maths puzzles, crossword puzzles, riddles, tricky questions.
2. Concept of Bank transaction (FD, RD, saving account , current transactions).
3. Mathematical games
4. Measuring diagonal distance of a quadrangle.
5. Number of revolutions made by a cycle wheel while covering distance of a given path.
6. Easy method of multiplication.
7. Magic squares.
8. Unit System
9. Use compass ( for direction)
10. Estimation.
11. To find width of river using the concept of congruence of triangles.
12. To find the actual height using the concept of similar triangles.
13. To find the length without using measuring tape. ( Use of hand span, cubit and foot).
14. To find height and distance using sextant.
15. Concept of calculation of income tax.


SCIENCE CLUB




The SCIENCE CLUB was headed by 1 counselors Mr. M.R. RAVICHANDRAN .,B.Sc., B. Ed.


The primary objective of science club activities is to keep the students excited about science. The Activities are designed to introduce students to interesting and exciting scientific ideas behind circuits, motors, cloud formation, chemical reactions etc. The practical use of scientific principles in the gadgets in daily use are highlighted. It is hoped that after performing these activities, students will be able to understand the concepts better, assimilate them and will be motivated to conduct more such experiments and projects..

ARTS & CRAFT CLUB




The ARTS & CRAFT CLUB was headed by 1 counselors Mrs. R. SUJATHA.,B.A., B. Ed.


Object drawing and still life composition can develop their sense of observing and revealing. Line, shape, form and colour and colour mixing and matching, strokes and tones.


Everyone is born an artist. This natural gift is oftenneglected. The club aims to encourage originality, spontaneity and liberty with regard to convention and received ideas. Besides having a lot of fun, it develops children’s creativity and encourages imagination. With plenty of imagination, a child can master the painting techniques easily and produce a satisfactory result. Understanding the world we live is a good way to achieve harmony with our environment.


Activities :


1. Drawing (animals, still life etc.) in crayons, watercolours and all pastels.
2. Arts and crafts, clay , masks, paper art etc. according to age of the students.
3. File painting.
4. Warli Art – Tribal art expression of their culture and events.
5. Glass Painting and design.
6. Sketching
7. Ceramic Painting
8. T- Shirt Painting.
